An exquisite corpse of 7 parts from animators around the world

Each one was given the last 5 sec of the previous animator and 2 months to create their own animation. Blended in one colour palette, the idea was to make a visual dialogue on the theme of climate emergency. A way to both be creative and exchange on this important subject of our time.

A few months after a nice encounter with director Yves Paradis at Pictoplasma conference, he invited us to be part of this great collaboration, and we said yes without a doubt! This one was a fun, laid back process. We chose to interpret the climate emergency theme through a time bomb. Aside from its urgency, we liked that it gave us room to be playful too, as we watched the bomb getting thrown from one place to another, wondering when it would explode.

We kept the designs graphical and compact, with minimal environment in order to lead the eye on the flying bomb.

As each animation had to last for only 15 seconds, we made a rough animatic to make sure we nailed the timings of every shot.
