Educating disabled children about their safeguarding rights
We teamed up with Rumpus to help the London based charity, Able Child Africa, to encourage disabled children to speak when something does not feel right.
We were asked to create the designs following the clever storyboard made by Rumpus. After careful research on African features and landscapes, we started building the characters and props to be animated.
We also designed a lip sync reference sheet for the main character, as she would speak at the end of the film.
We wanted to stay true to African heritage through bold patterns and colours, and add a hint of crayon textures to break the graphical neat look, make it more friendly and childish.
We are always keen to support NGOs and charities that have social impact, so it was a great pleasure for us to have made a small contribution in Able Child’s launch campaign for safeguarding children with disabilities.
